The Roeliff Jansen Historical Society

Dedicated to the Preservation and Understanding  of the history of the Roeliff Jansen area

The society's museum of local history is located in the Old Copake Falls Church.  A new exhibit is presented each summer.  The museum is open each Saturday and Sunday afternoon from the last weekend of June through Labor Day weekend.

Programs pertaining to local history are presented at the society's meetings usually held the last Tuesday of the month of September, October, November, March, April, May and annual dinner in June.

Members receive a newsletter prior to each meeting.  To join send a check for $8 (family $10) to:

The society's publications, A History of the Roeliff Jansen Area and The Mill on the Roeliff Jansen Kill, are sold at the Copake Pharmacy.
