Copake Comprehensive Planning Committee

Report to the Public- July 2010

Just a reminder that the Copake Comprehensive Plan the Committee has scheduled a Saturday morning action-planning workshop to be held on July 31, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. at the Copake Park Building.

At this workshop we will update the public on our progress.  Prior to the meeting we will publish a draft vision statement and goals for your review.  At the meeting we will explore which goals the Town favors, and we will work together to to identify a list of actions (programs, projects, and incentives) which the Town can take to achieve its goals. The workshop will be organized so that everyone will have the opportunity to discuss each goal. The action plan is perhaps the most important part of the comprehensive plan since it outlines the steps, large and small, short term and long-term that the town will take to achieve your vision for the community.  The public’s input at this point is absolutely critical.

During July we will meet on Tuesday July 13, Tuesday July 20 and Thursday July 29.       Please feel free to join us.
