In addition to the usual scouting activities with special emphasis on camping and open fire cooking, the troop helps decorate on Memorial Day and participates in cemetery maintenance in Hillsdale.

Copake Grange

began in the 1860s as a farming support group. Now a subordinate Grange to the New York State Grange, it provides active support for community affairs including the Copake Theatre Company, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts among others.

August 19                       Outdoor hike. Information will follow soon. If we get 50%   attendance over the summer events, we will earn a special Scouting Award which can be worn on the uniform.

September                     Fall registration for new Scouts. Open to all boys ages 7-11 or 1st - 4th grades. Date to be determined.

 

Harlem Valley Rail Trail Association

has more than 700 members and over 100 volunteers who assist with funding, safety issues, trail publicity and design of trail amenities. A membership form is available on-line by clicking on their website above.

 

Ridge Runners Car Club

began in 1998 and has been active continuously since then. Local car owners and enthusiasts get together to attend car shows, cruises and other related functions.

We host the Memorial Day services on Memorial Day to include a parade in Copake with color guard and float and sunrise services at all the cemeteries in Copake and Ancram. We also host flea markets in Copake during the summer

is a social club for seniors. The club meets at Hillsdale Firehouse and enjoys a variety of activities including trips, Christmas Luncheon and Halloween Party.
