I went to Woodielake Camp in the early 50's. It changed my life - made me a diehard equestrian and a lover of remote rural life. I remember well Mrs. Moffett and in particular two counselors - the Apel brothers (Mike and (?) Henry) - very handsome young men who were the riding instructors. Silly songs at the campfire, archery, riflery, making keychains, swimming with the turtles, and oh yes - spin the bottle in the woods. Then there was the camp awards in the lodge. And the camp reunion in NYC during the winter.I am 60 and it is all still pretty clear. Anyone who went there back in the 50's feel free to email me. Dee Lambert, DEEGAL9@yahoo.com
